What we collect

When you sign up, the form sends two things: the email address you type in, and which list you joined (the launch email, the Watchlist waitlist, or the Black Friday tracker alert). There are no other fields to fill in. The form also has a hidden field that only spam bots fill in; it is empty when you submit.

With your signup we also record the time you signed up and the page you signed up from (its path, without any query string). We do not store your IP address with your signup, and there is no confirmation email to click.

Who stores it

Signups are stored by Supabase, in a database table that only this site’s signup service can read or write. See Supabase’s privacy policy.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies and does not store anything in your browser. The fonts are served from this site, not from a font service.

Analytics

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics, and no other analytics or third-party scripts. Its script is loaded from this site’s own domain, and it reports page views to Vercel.

Vercel Web Analytics uses no third-party cookies and records page views anonymously. To tell visitors apart, it uses a hash of the incoming request, which is discarded after 24 hours. For each page view it stores the time, the URL, the referrer, filtered query parameters, your location to the city level, and your operating system, browser and device type. See Vercel’s Web Analytics privacy documentation.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel. As with any website, loading a page sends your browser’s request, including your IP address, to the host.

Vercel processes that request data, including your IP address, to serve the site. See Vercel’s privacy notice.

Unsubscribe and deletion

To unsubscribe or to have your address deleted, email support@socialteardown.com. We handle unsubscribe and deletion requests within 30 days.

About the posts we score

The scores on this site are commentary on brands’ public social posts, collected from the brands’ own accounts. We do not collect or publish anything about the people who like, comment on or are tagged in those posts.
